About Damark Group

Independent Representation for Private Buyers

Damark Group advises individuals and family offices acquiring luxury assets in Singapore and internationally.

We act solely for the buyer.

The Case for Buy-Side Advice

In the yacht market, sale commissions are customarily set at around 10% of the price and paid by the seller. A broker who introduces the buyer is typically remunerated from that same commission, which links their income to the final price.

The same pattern recurs across most luxury markets. Where the asset is a residence or an aircraft, the intermediary presenting it is usually pad by the party selling it.

Damark Group was established to offer buyers an alternative. Our fee is agreed with and paid by the client, so our advice carries no interest in a higher price.

Why Clients Retain Damark Group

Regional Reach

Jakarta is about 90 minutes from Singapore by private jet, and Hong Kong about three and a half hours. Inspections across the region can fit inside a single week.

Independent Specialists

Surveyors and authenticators are appointed for each mandate and report directly to the client.

Limited Mandates

Damark Group takes on a set number of active mandates, so every client has senior attention from consultation to handover.

Cross-Border Coordination

A painting may be acquired at auction in Hong Kong for a collection kept in Europe. We arrange the export and insurance that follow the sale.

Fee Structure

Conventional buyer brokerage and a Damark Group engagement differ on four points.

Conventional Buyer Brokerage Damark Group Engagement
Source of fee A share of the seller’s commission Paid directly by the client
Effect of a lower purchase price Reduces the broker’s fee No effect on our fee
Fee disclosure Varies by transaction Stated in the engagement letter
Payments from sellers Customary Declined

A sample engagement letter is available on request ahead of an initial consultation.

Club Real EstateJune 2025Georgia, United States

Atlanta Private Club Portfolio

Arcis Golf, the second-largest owner and operator of golf facilities in the United States, acquired three private clubs in Atlanta's northern suburbs from their previous owner, Invited. The transactions closed on 10 June 2025, and Arcis assumed operation of all three clubs the following day.

  • The Country Club of the South, Johns Creek: an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus course, with six clay and six hard tennis courts
  • The Manor Golf & Country Club, Alpharetta: one of only 16 courses in the world designed by Tom Watson
  • White Columns Country Club, Milton: an 18-hole championship course by Tom Fazio

The deal was Arcis Golf's eighteenth club acquisition in three years and gave the company 54 holes in the Atlanta area. Significant capital investment in the courses and member facilities is planned across all three clubs.

Damark Group contributed to the advisory work on the portfolio, in which three clubs with distinct identities were assessed and acquired as a single transaction.

  • Hybrid propulsion pairing a single Wärtsilä engine with a one-megawatt battery bank, with claimed fuel savings of around 30% against comparable yachts
  • A major refit in 2020 costing more than €9,000,000
  • Accommodation for 12 guests and 24 crew, with a range of 6,500 nautical miles at 14 knots

Damark Group’s involvement in the sale drew on two factors that weigh heavily at this size: pricing history and the quality of a yacht's maintenance records.
